Flint's trainees prove worth in shopping task

A DERBY law firm has taken on four trainee solicitors after coming up with a novel selection process.
More than 400 graduates applied for the vacancies at Flint Bishop.
Given the fierce competition between applicants, Flint Bishop whittled down the final dozen shortlisted by giving each one £2 and sending them to the nearest pound shop.
The were charged with finding two products – one that represented them and one that represented Flint Bishop.
They were then required to present the reasons for their choice to the interview panel.
Those that made the cut were Edward Sanderson, Alexander Parkes, Nathan Gray and Beth Bearder, all of whom passed a legal practice course following graduation.
They will now join Flint Bishop for a two-year placement and will work alongside industry experts in a variety of fields.
Managing partner Ken Dixon said: "Flint Bishop is committed to providing meaningful training opportunities to graduates.
"This year's candidates were of an exceptionally high standard and I would like to welcome Edward, Alex, Beth and Nathan to the team."
