Self-awareness is absolutely vital for success!

Until you know what you have to offer employers, how can you convince them that they need you in their team? Although an impressive list of experience is vital, it's useless if you don't show employers the skills you have gained. That's where MySelf, LawCareers.Net's free self-analysis tool, can help…

Two of the biggest mistakes that candidates make in applications are not properly analysing their activities and achievements to demonstrate skills that employers want, and not telling employers about such achievements effectively. LawCareers.Net's MySelf tool is designed to solve the first problem and, in turn, make solving the second a matter of common sense.

Young Lawyer Student Representative, September 2012

The 'Young Lawyer' magazine is looking to recruit a limited number of law students to represent Young Lawyer on campus. A big emphasis of the role will be on driving comment online and encouraging students to get involved in the new Young Lawyer website launching in May 2012. It will also involve ensuring the magazine is distributed to law students, collecting magazine registrations and relaying feedback on Young Lawyer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a law student to build on their CV and it is hoped that the chosen representative for Derby will become a central part of the Young Lawyer community by contributing to the magazine and website. The magazine will also be encouraging representatives throughout the year by running incentives and offering prizes.

They are hoping to fill the role in time for the beginning of the new academic year in September.

Please contact me to get more information and a copy of the job description.
