If you're looking for variety and responsibility, we wrote the book. The Government Finance Profession is a community of 10,000 qualified and trainee accountants. We recruit talented individuals who want to make a difference, supporting them to study for a professional accountancy qualification, and providing management and leadership development. Our recruits have a series of placements in different areas of the business, delivering in jobs with real responsibility. They have a personal mentor to guide and support them. Once you're qualified, you can continue to work in a finance role, though 20% of our members choose to take their qualification into other parts of central government, for example developing policy, or managing operational functions.
