Start Your Career in Probation -Trainee Probation Officers

Surrey & Sussex Probation Trust are seeking to recruit graduates with a relevant degree to commence employment as a Probation Service Officer in October 2011 and to commence Probation Officer training on the Graduate Diploma in April 2012, with a view to qualifying by July 2013. Employment is offered on a fixed-term basis and those successfully completing the training will be offered the opportunity to apply for a permanent post as a Probation Officer
Those holding a relevant degree undertaken in the last 5 years can apply for the Graduate Diploma in Community Justice with a level 5 vocational qualification in Probation Practice. Applications for the Graduate Diploma are invited from those holding a good Honours degree in one of the following: Criminology; Community Justice; Criminal Justice; Police Studies; or alternatively a combined Honours degree where at least 50% of the degree is in one of the four identified titles above, and the combined element is in Social Science or Law, will also be accepted as relevant.
